Daddy side note :)

****Daddy wants to add that he is very excited and can't wait to hold his daughter Victoria!

The Big Day Is Tomorrow!!!!!!

Well well well where do I began to explain my feelings about tomorrow.  "Tomorrow" is the beginning of the rest of our lives as Mom and Dad!  On March 5, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. I am scheduled to have a cesarean section at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland.  I am elated that after 39 weeks of patiently waiting we will finally get to meet our sweet little miracle.  Victoria will be entering our world!!!  We are excited to say the least.  We spent most of the weekend getting ready for her arrival into her new home.  We also spent a lot of time sharing of hopes, dreams, and goals for our little girl.  I have to admit the thought of being parents to Victoria still seems like a dream.  We are so grateful to have the opportunity to be her parents.  Let me just say we are prepared to try our best to be the best parents we can possibly be and to give her the best life she could possible have.  We are so anxious to get this Birth- Day party started.  As I sit here and type I wonder who will she look like, how much will she weigh, how long will she be, and the list of curiosity goes on and on....
The next post I will be typing will have answers to all of my curious questions and I will be so excited to share every detail here!  Closing this post with ALL OF MY LOVE to our sweet little miracle Victoria.  We can not wait to meet you, hold you and love you!  You are a very very special girl, and you will always be my baby!!!
Love your Momma

Nursery Glimpse before and after

I wanted to share a little glimpse of Victoria's nursery.  I have before and after pictures.  The before pictures were the start of our Precious Angel Jolie's room.  We decided to switch up the color scheme a little and of course added lots of pretty touches.  Trust me there is still a lot of work to do in the nursery but we are ready to welcome our baby girl Victoria to her room never the less.

Mommy hand made this especially for Victoria!

This is a special piece of furniture this belonged to Grandpa Joe when he was a child.

 Daddy worked so hard to get the room painted perfectly! He spent so much attention to detail in every corner and put his heart and love into each brush stroke,  I have to add, the splash of lavender in the closet was all daddy's idea, he really loves the color lavender in the nursery.  Know you will see the before photos of the nursery...Let's just say Daddy is a rock star!

3D/4D Glimpse of our little Princess!

Surprise!

So excited to share some more fun news!  As I mentioned in a previous post that Friday was my last day...well, my classroom had a surprise baby shower planned for me and Victoria!  It was the cutest baby shower the children were so excited to shout SURPRISE!  The parents were so sweet and generous to plan and coordinate such a special shower.  I loved sharing this experience with all 29 of my 3 year old's.  They asked a million questions and I felt as though this was such a fun life learning experience for them to be apart of.  The children were so excited to see what was in the gift bags and boxes that were waiting to be opened.  As I began opening them I made sure that each gift had an educational value.  From why do babies wear diapers to what a healthy habit it is to stay clean with soaps and towels.  They loved it, and I loved their reaction to the entire shower.  I sure am gonna miss my little kiddies at school.  Here are some photos from the shower!

Can I just say this pregnancy has been an all around BLESSING and JOY!  I have been so lucky to be able to experience such a miracle grow, and grow inside me.  I almost can't find the words to describe how happy and over joyed I am to experience this time of my life with the most amazing people.  Thanks to everyone who has helped, supported, loved, and shared any moment of this pregnancy with Miguel and I your just as lucky and blessed as we are!

More to Come!

Well tomorrow (Friday February 24, 2012)  will be my last day of work, and then I start my maternity leave.  I'll get a whole week to prepare myself, my hubby, our home, and Victoria's nursery oh and did I forget I must squeeze in some rest time before our bundle of joy comes.  I was initially scheduled to have my c-section on March 7th but that was changed to March 5th this week.  That means we will see our little princess two days earlier than expected unless of course she decides she wants to meet us sooner.  Things already done include, Hospital bags, car seats, clothes and blankets washed, nursery painted a few pieces of furniture, BOY do we have a few more things to catch up on.  During this pregnancy I have decided to take a whole new approach and just enjoy quiet, calm and relaxing time.  I haven't stressed to much about what we don't have yet I am just going with the flow.  If you know me, you know this is definitely not in my character, hehe!  I just feel like savoring and enjoying every pregnancy moment i can without worrying or stressing about how perfect things should be.  I feel ready for her to come home, she has a bassinet, a snuggle nest, a TON of clothes, blankets, bath items, bath tub, and all of our love.  Everything else will come together!  I'm in seventh heaven just thinking about what a sweet little momma we are going to have in our home!  I'll post pictures of the before and after transformation of our nursery this coming week.  ONE more week....We are soo excited!!!

Baby Showers!!!

What can we say but Miguel and I are VERY blessed to have lots of people around us who love, support and care so deeply for us!  Victoria has joined one lucky family!  I was so blessed to have enjoyed 3 baby showers from family and friends!  Our first baby shower was hosted by Aunt Claudia at Grandma and Grandpa Monroy's house on January 21, 2012.  Our second shower was hosted by my wonderful cousin Naomi and aunt Melinda, this shower was held at a cute little venue in downtown Upland on January 29, 2012.  I was also surprised with a baby shower from my co-workers after a staff meeting on February 1, 2012.  I was totally surprised and it was lots of fun!  It has been more than we could ever ask for.  We know how much love this little bundle will be born into and we are so excited to share her with all of our friends and family.  Here are some photos capturing two of our baby showers.  I'll have to scan photos of the third one so you can see how hard my co-workers worked to keep this a special surprise.  Here goes some photos;

 This is our second shower!
